Yip, your right I suggest you short it on Monday Morning and you will be running for cover very soon. I quess you are another person who just does not understand AMDAHL and what some of the new business (Huge Contracts)they have received are going to mean to the bottom line. Also, who ever is telling you that their earnings are going to be negative in the 4th quarter 96, I suggest you dump them as you broker. Try looking at ZACHS. On Friday we picked almost 95,000 shares all new longs. The stock went up 3/4. Also, with over 4 million shares traded a few weeks ago, the stock has now found it's new bottom. There is only one way this stock will be going in 97 and 98, I will tell you it will not be down.
Here is alist of some of the Contracts that they have not even made public yet.
1. Will generate an estimated $4 billion in Y2K and related sub-system rewrites.
2. Working with Oracle Consulting to replace several US Government/US Postal Service Amdahl mainframes to new prodcut line of servers.
3. Large existing client base of Amdahl mainframes, want Amdahl to provide mini computer/client server soultions. They use Amdahl hardware and DMR/Trecom Consultants.
4. Some large contracts not yet published include. Pru Bache Insurance Y2K and Image Processing Contract,AIG,International contracts with Saudi firms.
ETC,ETC,ETC,ETC.......
The stockholders who wanted out are now out. They left when the stock wnet to $13.50 in April and then back down to $8.25. The stockholders are now the ones that know this stock will see it's day's in the $20's again. alot sooner then later.
You want a stock to short go over to the RACE thread, I made a bundle last week shorting some large blocks then covering, it all depends how much cash you got.
