My understanding is the south-american word 'mantos' simply describes the shape of a particular type of mineral deposit: horizontal tubular body with ovoid section.

BTW Geomorphology deals with the study of relief exclusively

Is a 'mantos' a type of scarn ? all i can say is that it's a type of epigenetic
mineral concentration.

Thus a mantos (an unofficial, slang word) does not describe a type of rock nor mineral, it is used to describes a mineral deposit

PS. due to tech. difficulties never got to thank you for your message of
this summer on AQP..Thanks, I held on to the sweet end !!!
