MB - Thanks for the explanation of the risk of exercise for deep in the money calls. BTW, the 8% was reference to how much I would pay for margin. Since I almost never do it, I am not sure what prevailing rates are these days, so I guessed. Clearly the "opportunity cost" is higher which you were pointing out.
