Let me add: do Not OVERDO it. There is so much DD and Information on the web, it is your job to find out what is reliable and what is crap., and there is lots of crap out here. MY own problem is, i have too much information at my fingertips - so much in fact it might (and has) clouded my judgement on some stocks so much i have skipped them. You also need to develop a 'selling point' you are comfortable with: I have a 7% loss rule that states if a stock loses 7% in one day, or over 3 days, SELL IT because it isn't done losing and it WILL take you down. Just look at AIGI and ZULU and SYQT for the last 6 months. There are a TON of sites you can open up portfolios or multiple portfolios and just track your picks, either for real or as a test. I have several model portfolios on Quicken.Excite.com, go try it out. ALSO, you MUST either get or subscride to 'the online investor' magazine. www.onlineinvestor.com this is a great piece of information, and it comes every other month.
good luck.
