Brian - thanks I'll read it when I get a chance. As a practical matter how easy is it to short a stock selling at these levels. In the opposite case - i.e. buying on margin some brokers (Yorkton for example) give limited margin on stocks selling between $1 and $2, more margin on stocks selling above $2, and then $3. To short one has to borrow the stock - so do some restrictions apply to these types of stocks - or do you keep having to put up 100 % of the cost of the stock loaned, plus additional $$s for any fall in price?

In the opposite direction - I don't know if you have noticed that there is always a huge short position in ABX (usuallay second only to Abitibi) - it never seems to matter how high the volume - the position doesn't seem to change much. I can't help wondering about the accuracy of the published ABX short position? E
