I like their outlook for a medium term investment. I think the trick on afci is buying at the proper price.

I very much agree about staying with companies that you've done business with (for a gain or a loss). There's a difference between watching a stock and investing in one, for a loss or a gain. Jim Jubek recently gave this advise as well. xyln, fon, and csco, asend, and dell fit nicely for me here.

I've also learned to spread out the investments. That way the losses are more tolerable. I like to keep the majority of my money free waiting for sudden movements against these "base stocks". I made 10k in one day on dell last month over a overreacting market. I also did quite well when fon dropped to 69 the week before last. Its now nearing 80 in 10 days. I would have not known to do this if I hadn't been intimate with these companies.
