Brian = Re: " I heard that AMD has sold out for the quarter , so it sounds like AMD is doing so well on the yields that they can afford to undercut Intel's Celery "

I have heard just the opposite. In fact, AMD is hustling just to maintain accounts.

In several U.S. Wide mailers I have received - CD Warehouse, MicroCentre, J & R Computers, etc. The Intel Celerons are the most pervasive CPU in the sub $1000 category and the 333 MHz Celeron PCs seem to be priced less than most of the 350 MHz K6-2 machines.

Because the 333 MHz Celeron outperforms the 350 MHz K6-2 and seems to end up in less expensive PCs, I'd say AMD's business will be severely constrained unless they DROP their 350 MHz K6-2 down to $100 or less.
