Caution: Anyone using Bollinger Bands on timely.com charts. I noticed an apparent discrepancy in this chart in how timely.com is plotting Bollinger Bands.

timely.com

I submitted a request for 20-period Bollinger Bands on this chart. That is probably what I got, but the excursion of the price data significantly outside the bands was not what I expected. I did a cursory check against a chart I generated in MetaStock and for which I had previously verified the BB. It appears that timely.com is plotting the Bollinger Bands at one standard deviation instead of the two standard deviations recommended by Bollinger. I recommend that this plotting feature not be used on the timely.com charts at this time.
