Aviron may be moving up on some mention in articles. Friday's WSJ listed the company as a possible buyout candidate. November's Individual Investor mentions Aviron as one of ten biotechs to own in their cover article on the sector. Also a possibility that they could soon announce a marketing partner. The problem with production approval may also be nearing some announcement which is more likely negative considering that Aviron has stated that they don't anticipate coming to market until 2000-01. If the product won't be available for two years, the company will need to raise more cash. It's good to remember that they do have a valuable vaccine that everyone thinks has great potential. At this point in time, the movement of the stock is a guessing game.
