I too recognized his voice immediately. Bob handled him very well this time by referring him to Marketimer for UTEK updates.

Regarding selling UTEK for a tax loss, I only had to sell 200 of my 2000 shares to generate almost enough loss to use up the $3,000 limit for deductable capital losses - I used the specific ID method by telling the broker to sell the first 200 shares I bought a year ago.
Thus I've still got 1800 shares working for me with a lower average cost basis.
