d. alexander, <Could you suggest a text which explicates candlestick interpretation> To anyone interested in technical analysis, I would recommend the book 'Technical Analysis of the Futures Market' by John Murphy. This book is used for teaching TA at the New York Institute of Finance. It covers everything indepth: trends, reversal patterns, volume interpretation, moving averages, oscillators..... This is the same John Murphy that is on CNBC. The book is heavyweight material, 557 pages, and costs about $45. Although it is written for futures trading, its applicable to stocks as well. It has definitely helped me understand and interpret stock graphs and advanced indicators. Good luck to all! Tim Boone
