Paul , that sounds like your usual hogwash
If you check prices on Pricewatch the lowest K6-2 350 undercuts Celeron by $11 ,also the slit1 Mboard also is more expensive .
So if the OEMs are selling for less then they must be making less in profit . That must really please them .
Now factor in Intel's cost of production for Celery 333 at $70 vs K6-2 at $35 and you can see that Intel would really be raking it in .
Also unlike Intel investors like yourself , PC mfrs (with the exception of Dell) have no love for Intel and do not want to return to the old days of an Intel monopoly so they will avoid giving Intel any breaks . Now they have a credible alternate source for CPUs they will ensure that it stays around despite the heavy handed attempts by Intel . Brian
PS Your posts tell me that your are still the same old deceptive Intel investor you have always been but are now trying to hide behind the cloak of a supposed AMD investor . AMD's VP Sales comment about attacking Intel at the high end and notebook CPUs this quarter sound good what do you think as an AMD? investor .
