<Now you are being "silly", Scumbria ...>
This reminds me of how Iraq plays world politics. First, Iraq invades Kuwait, then brags about their battle-hardened army, the "mother of all battles." After the U.S. soundly handed Iraq their ass on a silver platter, Iraq is now playing the victim, showing how they're being oppressed by the Great Satan of the West.
How does this relate? Well, AMD comes into the CPU game with the gloves off, promising prices which are 25% below the equivalent Intel chip. Now that Intel is responding with deep price cuts, AMD is being portrayed as the victim of Intel's "predatory pricing," even though Intel is far from selling anything below cost.

P.S. - By the way, Yousef, AMD withdrew their promise of the 25% discount. Now AMD only prices their CPU's so that the total cost of the system is less than the equivalent Intel-based system. |
