Magazine called Wall Street Technology, Jan 97, vol 15 num 1. is old news but just got it. Has interesting article on TDM. A bear, or at least a skeptic, named Julio Bucatinsky is quoted in such a fashion as to force a TDM investor to make some strong choices. The WEB page for the mag (which I have not looked at) is www.wallstreet-net.com.
I am curious whether anyone else has seen this article and whether there are any thoughts on it. Specifically:
1. what does the TDM installed base do, in either ATM or financial transactions, when deciding how to expand into the future? Is it, as the analyst says, simple calling STRATUS or IBM for a new solution?
2. Is it just hype, all this stuff about ITP? Or is TDM on to something.
3. What is the MSFT interest in TDM? Is this just hype or is this a serious attempt to match NT with SUN OS and IBM AIX in the server market In Fortune 50 land where NT is still a side show?
PS: Looking at the TDM annual report, does anyone else think that the granting of very cheap options to new CEO is a bit much?
