Here's what Bear Stearns had to say about WPI acquiring THRT: ***Chairmen and CEO of Watson Allen Chao indicated that TheraTech's broad based drug delivery platform and that its portfolio of validated technologies makes it a meaningful addition to Watson. Additionally, TheraTech provides Watson with additional products for entry into Watson's core therapeutic categories and potentially new areas. TheraTech has new products in Women's Health and Dermatology. According to published reports, TheraTech's sales are expected to be approximately $40 million in 1999.
