Bravo, John your observations make a lot of sense. price leads volume. Volume may limit or extend the price move based on crowd sentiment. Use volume to anticipate the sentiment that may be guiding the price at any point in the trade. On my long term system I use (price)*(Xaverage(vol[2bars])= force of the move. Is basically a histogram which responds to a change of price and volume to indicate what ELDER RAY refers to as force. And you are correct It registered well in the previous step but not on this one which according to your observation may indicate higher prices ahead. My short term system works on price for much of the same reason. I found volume puts me in late in most trades. Just didn't realize why until now. luis
