Figures. Again, this is just an attempt to create enough selling pressure for Asensio to cover in the wake of the suckers who will sell BTIM short or dump their shares on this "news". Smart long investors do not tout their picks until they have secured their position and smart short sellers do not trash a pick until they are ready to cover. I think we will learn a lot about BTIM's technical picture today. If the shorts are ready to cover (as I suspect they are in the wake of the last rally and the fact that BTIM has retested its lows and rebounded well) then today's "news release" may be the antithesis to the high flyer whose share price takes a serious hit when they beat the numbers. Ie., maybe we will see a 'cover on bad news' sentiment. Or... maybe not. Surely all informed investors are aware of Asensio by now but I thought that last April too. Seller beware. Jim
