Joint Venture Summit Announced
VANCOUVER, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 26, 1998--(OTC:IKAR - news) Management announces the conclusion of their meetings with Tajikistan President Rakhmonov,Khursan Mirzoshapirove, Chief of IKAR Operations, Prince Aga-Khan IV and representatives ofthe Aga-Khan Foundation for Economic Development of the Republic of Takisitan.
Both President Rakhmonov and the Aga Khan publicly expressed their appreciation, and keen interest in further development of the region by IKAR Mineral corporation and stated their support would continue through the mining production. They further acknowledged the great progress made to date and emphasized how IKAR was beneficially impacting on their economy.
But the highlight of the meetings was the expressed interest of the Aga-Khan to establish a potential joint-venture relationship between the Aga-Khan foundation and IKAR as stated by the foundation's director Mr. Hakim Firista.
