You bring up a very important point when dealing with deep discount brokers: it's better to have a backup broker in case you run into difficulties. I also have an account with Fidelity, and between Fidelity and E-Trade, I have not had any serious problems. Naturally I prefer the $15 trades, but I don't like to put all my eggs in one basket.
