Juniper is funded by a number of Cisco competitors. Part of these contracts is that the companies that helped fund Juniper can not acquire them. At the same time these companies (LU, COMS, etc.) will not sell to CSCO...no way, no how. No, Juniper is on their own..they will need to make it on their own. CSCO won't be allowed to buy them and the funding companies are contractually precluded. OG
