BiGx, I'm no expert in technical analysis, but it seems different TA methods see different things for PFE in the short and medium term; for example, the P&F chartists think PFE shows bullish signs at this point. I agree with your analysis that the $120 reached some time ago was a blip: it ran up too fast due to unrealistic expectations on future Viagra sales. A period of sideways movements is to be expected. If you look at a 5-year chart, the upward trend is apparent. Long term investors who want a pharmaceutical stock in their portfolio can make use of PFE's price weakness to take a position. Short term investors may wish to trade based on TA or Mr. Peabody's peaks and valleys predictions.

For the very short term I'm bullish on Pfizer based on the imminent FDA approval of Celebrex. Japan's approval may come sooner than expected (within 6 months) and this would give a great boost to Viagra sales.

Jubak still has PFE in his "50 Best Stocks in the World for the Long term" - "great stocks" that he'd buy on any significant dip. He doesn't list sells -- when a stock becomes a sell he drops it from the portfolio.

Regards.

Anthony
