The suit focuses on eight patents that Ericsson said Qualcomm infringed upon,
including "soft handoff" and "macro-diversity" patents. Ericsson Vice President and
General Counsel Larry Lyles said it is willing to license the patents to Qualcomm,
although Qualcomm's countersuit questions their validity.

This come back to my earlier questions.

Don't the other infrastructure vendors (LU, MOT, NT, Samsung...etc) use these same inventions in their infrastructure?

Wouldn't they also need to license the patents?

Wouldn't they be extremely concerned about the outcome of the case?

Wouldn't all the patent licenses agreements be about the same?

Ericy couldn't rightly charge QCOM 10X over every body else?...I'm not implying that Ericy going to win. In fact, I believe they will lose this big-time. Their day is coming when they will be exposed for the underhanded jerks they really are.
