Communicator is a big bloated pig. It is even worse on Linux than on other unices because, unless you buy Motif and specifically download the dynamic version, it is statically linked. Each copy of netscape running will have a separate copy of the toolkit code, and it isn't shared with any other programs. This is why I ditched communicator and got the navigator standalone program. I'm looking forward to a stable, working Mozilla with a GTK front-end.

Sendmail is known for being obnoxiously hard to set up. Have you seen the O'Reilly book for it? It looks like a dictionary.

Qmail is supposed to be much easier to configure. I'm using smail, so if you want to try that out I'll be happy to swap trade secrets.
