Linkon Named to Fast 50 List of Connecticut's Fastest Growing Technology Companies; Award

FAIRFIELD, Conn., Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Connecticut Technology Council and Deloitte & Touche LLP recently announced that Linkon Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: LKON - news) had
been named as one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Connecticut. At its second annual Connecticut Technology Fast 50 Awards Reception, U.S. Senator Christopher Dodd keynoted the
celebration before a crowd of nearly 450 technology executives. ''Technological progress is one of the most important determining factors in sustaining Connecticut's jobs and current economic expansion,''
Dodd said. ''It is important that we encourage the development of high-tech industry and continue to train skilled workers.''

Combined the Fast 50 added $1.4 billion in revenues and over 2,200 new jobs to the state's economy between 1993 and 1997. ''These 50 companies are indicative of technology's impact on the economy.
There are over 110,000 companies in Connecticut, and between 1993 and 1997 each of them added an average of 0.8 jobs. Over that period the Fast 50 companies added an average of 45 jobs each,
representing 3% of the total jobs created in the economic recovery in the state,'' said Laura Kent, Executive Director of the Connecticut Technology Council.

The Fast 50 Awards Program, co-sponsored by the Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., Pullman & Comley LLC, Royal & SunAlliance Insurance, BT Alex.Brown and People's Bank, measures percentage revenue
growth over a five year period ended 1997 for Connecticut-headquartered technology companies with minimum revenues of $50,000 in 1993. ''What does it take to make the Fast 50? Superior technical
