is pleased to announce that the company has developed 4096-bit encryption
software for the 3Com Palm III(TM) product.
3Com's Palm Computing platform has quickly established itself as the de
facto open standard in the handheld computer market world-wide. The most
recent Dataquest figures show that Palm products led the international arena
with 63 percent of the market in the first half of 1998.
Mr. Mitch Tarr, Vice President Sales and Marketing of JAWS Technologies
said, ''The success of the Palm III(TM), combined with the amount of sensitive
data which is being taken on the road, highlights serious opportunity for loss
or theft of this sensitive data. We wanted to provide Palm III users with the
strongest encryption software available.'' With over 3 million units in
circulation plus a significant growth rate in the handheld computer markets,
we believe that we should achieve sales results of over two million dollars in
the handheld device market segment within the next 18-month period. This does
not include results from any Microsoft Window CE(TM) handheld markets that
JAWS believes they will be ready for in the second quarter of 1999.
JAWS L5 is described by experts as being the strongest and most
sophisticated encryption software in the market The JAWS L5 software
application quickly encrypts as a means to control confidential information
stored on 3Com Palm III(TM) devices.
The L5 Data Encryption Software-Palm III(TM) Edition is available by
calling JAWS Technologies at 1 888 301-5297. The first customer shipment is
