Is not motherhood ONE of the most important jobs in the world? Did I ever say it wasnt? The question is what constitutes acceptable motherhood. You right wingers decided to make a political issue out of a "problem" that never existed - working moms and their responsibilty to their children. Why you chose to do that, I dont know. Lack of a platform maybe, or jealousy, or resentment that your wives are not viewed as ideal. I want to point out that as someone who had an extremely busy working mom, I never had any inclination that my mother was any less a mother because she didnt attend PTA meetings. It never occurs to kids to think this way, you see, until the right wing pollutes our kids minds with this crap about what constitutes a good mother. I can almost guarantee you, that today, some kid whose mom isnt around all the time is going to think that they are somehow being cheated. Why - not because they are being cheated of course. Just because the right wing chooses to blast the airwaves with this blather, thats why.
