Regarding IBM holding its value better than other stocks during this
bear market, not exactly true. If you go back to the bottom of the
market where it was declared a "bear" you had the Dow between 7300 and
7400 for a 20% correction from which it came back, tested a bit, and
so on to where we are now. IBM performed better in the sense it
rebounded quicker but off its earlier high of 138 it closed at 113 and
skipped off 110 interday for what appears to me to be about a 20%
correction. So IBM followed the Dow but rebounded very quickly as
money rotated out of more speculative NASDAQ issues. Maybe I am
wrong here. Any other views?
