October 26, 1998/FOOLWIRE/ -- The takeover speculation that
pushed shares of Bankers Trust (NYSE: BT) up $5 1/2 on Friday appears to
have eased. Shares of the investment banking firm were down $4 7/16 to $62
7/16 this morning on reports from Bloomberg that Rolf Breuer, CEO of
European banking giant Deutsche Bank AG (Nasdaq: DTBKY), told a German
newsweekly his company hasn't held talks with Bankers Trust.

Connecticut-based managed care organization Oxford Health Plans (NYSE: OXHP)
dropped $1 to $9 3/16 after two New York physicians' groups and their
medical management company filed a $1.16 billion lawsuit in New York County
Supreme Court alleging that Oxford didn't provide needed data and payments
as contractually required.

Semiconductor wafer stepper maker ASM Lithography Holding (Nasdaq: ASMLF)
fell $1 3/8 to $21 3/4 after issuing its third profit warning this year,
saying second-half net income will be "substantially below" last year's
levels because of lagging orders from semiconductor companies. ASM expects
to break even in the second half of 1998, turning in a full-year profit of
$75 million.
