SyQuest Technology Unveils 1-Gigabyte Drives

FREMONT, Calif. (Dow Jones)--SyQuest Technology Inc. (SYQT) unveiled the SyQuest small computer system interfact, or SCSI, 1-gigabyte drive.
In a press release Monday, the company said the SCSI, which will be available in November, enables graphic artists and production personnel to load client projects on an individual cartridge, run those programs off the drive, and then exchange and distribute files.
The company also said it plans to begin shipping the SparQ USB 1 Gigabyte drive in November next month.
SyQuest, which makes and sells removable cartridge hard drives, said the drives will sell for $249 each. |
