I will try top get smail set up and I have an O'Reilly tome on that, a few chapters from the network administrators. I no doubt will have to axe feooh kvestions. I did not realize the problems with linking and librabries. Sharing libraries is a big headache for installation and how do you know etc that the unice has the required versions so that is prob why they did it that way. I run nav 3.04 in mswindows for just that reason, speed. But I need a graphical mail program that works and does mime and allows quick access to html so I chose comm 4.07. I wuz gonna get a sendmail tome the udder day but balked. Someday I will need it. How can it be that complex? hmmmm..... Setting up a network so people can dial in from other boxes through yours if yours has the modem..and collect their mail if they don't have IP's..now that is neat... EC<:-}
