j.oil, if the press release today really inspired those thoughts in your head, than you should stick to investing in the CSCO's and INTC's of the world, the penny (flea) markets are not for you. YOU MUST be skeptical in dealing with companies of this size or you stand to have your head handed to you.

My thoughts on today's release were that.

1. It is encouraging to know that jawz is defining a market for itself in the portable computing market. As portable devices are easily stolen or lost, I think there is some potential customer interest in protecting the data stored on these devices.

2. I don't agree with management making estimates on sales in such a manner, unless there is some past data or growth rates, or solid foundation for it based on customers which are in the process of making large purchasing decisions. It appears to me as if they have simply said, this is the market size, and here is how many we THINK we can sell based on our own assumptions of how successful we will be in penetrating this market.

3. I have to think that at some point, if jaws keeps making such brazen claims about the security of its product, that someone is going to take them to task on it. I hope for all your sakes that it is a good as they say it is. I also noticed the "experts" are now saying that JAWZ is the best encryption around, did I miss something? I don't remember even the "experts" JAWZ is using as references claiming that.

PS - I apologize for the somewhat caustic tone of this post. But ALL opinions need to be considered, not just favorable ones. As for me, I thought Walt's analysis was on the money.
