Wondered whether the last name was supposed to be "Danger". Confession time: I was several years beyond puberty in the late sixties-early seventies, though that's not a reason to have missed out on the Firesign Theater (which I did).
I'm not saying nothing's going on: only that whatever it is, it most likely has nothing to do with the content of the phoney (and funny) press release. But I do agree with you: if you want to attract some attention with a joke announcement, better to hit on IBM or Intel or Microsoft, or a least a company a fair number of people have heard of. If, on the other hand, if the perp had wanted the release to be taken seriously he shouldn't have had the CEO make such an absurd statement. I half-wonder whether this wasn't done by a DOCU employee at a holiday office party: such a person would know what DOCU and its software do, and so might never imagine that anyone would be fooled.
However, I do think it's possible there'll be news of some kind: if you recall, "Nick", in his first post, alluded to a possible takeover.
Only time will tell.
