C B - my head was kinda fuzza too - I was confusing Barrick's 40% interest in the joint venture with a stock position. So the situation is somewhat the reverse of what I was saying. If NEM or Barrick decide they want to make an offer for ARP at some point, NEM will start from a better position because it already has a share interest in ARP - admittedly small. If this play turns out to be something big it is highly likely that one or both of these companies will make a bid for ARP. E
