Understood that you were touting Olde. And the broker's advice was right on target if you waited for the market to cool off before you bought MCI -- that way you'd be up ~17% in two months instead of ~10% like me.

Nevertheless, I think that following brokerages research or advice is almost always a losing bet for the retail investor because their primary goals are to promote companies (generating underwriting deals for their corporate finance departments, and not incidentally huge bonuses for the analysts when the deals are done) and sell stocks (putting bread on the broker's table, or maybe gas in his BMW). If the investor happens to make any money, it's purely incidental. JMHO.
