Dear Wild Bill,
Sounds like I hit a nerve. I have been following your consistently strong endorsements of Cybertrader for some time. I am surprised with the dismissive vehemence with which you've greeted my admittedly simple observations. I wish I had your clarity and conviction. If more did, I suppose MBT and Watley would close.

Clearly, I haven't made it sufficiently clear for you that I was taking the position of an outsider looking in at these three services. "Don't knock it until you try it," was a Timothy Leary mantra in the 60s -- it's an expensive approach, then for sampling drugs, now for choosing a LVII broker. Do you know someone who is sufficiently knowledgeable and independent to fairly evaluate these three services? I can't because I just too dumb. You can't because you've fallen in love.

Not that it much matters in this present context, but I did use Cybertrader in a Block office in '97 and have also used the DOS Watcher software in an office, and have had the use of the MBT data feed for the last month. But the general consumer question remains: how is one to judge the merits of each in the context of one's needs?

But let's place that aside. Really the most interesting thing about your post is the anger. I used to be in public relations myself and the one cardinal rule was never to appear to lose your temper, unless scripted.
