I'm also Belgian and I have the same problem as Manfred.
Wall street opens at 2.30 pm Belgian time and closes at 10. The banks close at 4 pm so it is impossible to get in and out of the market when you really want to.
Your idea seems OK but I find it too risky. What can I do whenever an internet broker screws up badly? I cannot speak to anyone of the company face to face when a REAL problem should occur. When an American internet-broker should have a representative or an office in Belgium, that would change my view.
About Belgian taxes: when I buy a share at 100 $ and after, let's say a year or so, I sell it at 165 $, I pay NO taxes on the 65 $ profit. I know in America they have capital gains taxes and I really don't know exactly what it means, but I don't like the sound of it. Maybe you can explain it in 2 sentences.

I have one question and it has probably been answered many times, but anyway: I own 15 april 120 calls bought at 13 1/2. What happens when the stock splits 2:1. Do I own 30 april 60 calls bought at 6 3/4, or is it not thAt simple? Thanks.
