Christine, Maurice and EVeryone!!!! I'm going to get serious here for a minute and ask for help or suggestions. My son, Christian, was approved for an Independent Study this year based on a proposal for an on-line United Nations for young people. He created an excellent Web page, is working in conjunction with GEMUN(Global Elementary Model United Nations), but is not getting the response for which he had hoped. His goal was to hold an on-line conference in April, voting on issues that the delegates had researched and submitted, and ultimately to show that young people care and can make a difference. HE wants to make a difference, but is pretty discouraged right now. At first I thought I would mention it to you, CGB,knowing your interest in the UN, in case Briana would like to check out the page. THen I thought there might be other children out there who might be interested in being involved.

Please check it out!! It has a Caucus Room for chatting and he is going to try to get some discussion going so even if your child doesn't want to get fully involved but might like to express an opinion, encourage her/him to do so.
