Mark,

<Well, you get the privilege of learning basic math. If you take my course, then you will learn that it is an additional $796 in value, not $794>

I'm usually very good at helping both my 2nd grader and 5th grader with their homework. Could be that math degree on the wall.

As a paid technical writer (and successful trader) myself, I have one observation regarding the current state of trader education in print and on the web. These products are never priced at market supply and demand but rather the same way a cartel articifically inflates and fixes prices for whatever they're hoarding. Industry people, watching the growth of the retail day trading crowd, are tripping over each other trying to make a buck with this naive market before it disappears or outgrows them.

It's just so ironical that these are the same people who make their living in the purest supply and demand environment in the world, i.e. the markets. This seems to be cast out the window when it comes to trader education.

Fortunately we are real close to a major change in this predator-prey relationship, very similar to what E Trade did with the Merrills of the world. Discount education for traders is very close. It will feature most of the "secrets" the insiders are charging a fortune for these days, at a fraction of the cost, and send most of them back to their trading desks.

Alan
