PC's are only a small part of HWP's business but they are growing share rapidly from a small base. The most important part of HWP's business is printers where they hold about a 60% market share. Printers and scanners are very closely tied to the PC market of course, but the margins are much better and HWP makes an incredible profit on all the replacement cartridges for Inkjets and Laserjets. Instrumentation is only about 10% of HWP's business now although it is growing well and very profitable. HWP's Internet strategy is focused on providing servers, both RISC-based (SUNW main competitor) and Intel-based servers (CPQ main competitor). HWP has the world's largest Intranet which they have used for internal communications since the 80's, so they have a lot of credibility with companies looking to implement Intranets (this is the term used for internal Internet systems). HWP also has a large amount of business that is related to communications (Internet), networking, etc. in their instrumentation and component businesses. Hope this helps.
