The dyke system of Winspear is a vent diatreme or explosive fissure vein. It is not actually a dyke. It is entrained in a dyke system as are all pipe diatremes. A diatreme is an explosive cold volcano that ejects its material usually through a sediment and then burns out. The real deal us to follow the dyke to the pipe that usually exists somewhere along it. I don't think Winspear has that figured out yet. EC<:-}
