Jack, Thanks for your response. I am in a dither, tho'. Had to make a couple of trips to family in Illinois & thence to Florida for my wife who missed a standby trip back home to Missouri. During the time of travel, had little opportunity to trade or negociate, much less read the threads. It evolved that my discount broker says there was no trade, when I thought I had bought 1000 INTC. A real bummer. It showed as a trade on my screen, but not on theirs! We're still arguing but they've got the control. I printed out my screen and faxed it in. In the meantime, INTC got down to 129+ but I didn't get in, thinking it was breaking the 130 barrier down. Elected to drive back to Missouri, while hoping for a bearish 127 or so! WRONG!! Now it zooms to 138 3/8 friday while I am driving back.I read some of the posts made during my absence and saw some horror stories worse than mine. Trying to be philosophical about it, but frankly am down 6500 as a result and still own no INTC! Have requested to be able to do options, etc and will be able to do so, but not until have signed an agreement. No experience what- so ever in those. Right now my options are warrants and stock. Have a bid in to buy 1000 @ 138 3/8 @ opening monday. Feel fairly good about it, but with some doubts. Would a warrant be a better deal ? I value your judgement and want in, but noticed that you cleared out of most positions a few days back. Would like your advice. I do realize that the decision is mine, but would like some other opinions. Thanks for any ideas. Ira |
