EC: Now your starting to talk. I am enjoying your last few posts on this thread despite your almost bitter cynicism (somewhat justified). What your sayin' needs to be said alright and your extrapolations are no more absurd then the pro side. The science is not exact but it is good and is developing. Because of the proprietary nature of most of the key info for so many years it is a steep learning curve especially when you add to that new technologies and techniques. Of course this makes the methodology rife for abuse and ignorant interpretation. But the same could be said for any scientific method that has developed. Only a few very intelligent and skilled persons will be able to understand it all, and then there are those who control those who understand. DOW Chemical is a classical example among thousands. In the meantime we all struggle along hoping that we get some good (dumb)luck to combine with our rudimentary understanding and application of methodology. That's what still makes it attractive for the small guys (prospectors and the like), especially when the randomness of the occurrences are factored in. There's millions of square miles of Archons out there and miles of great tectonic structure and setting. Your comment on trains is good. The mystery deepens and the challenges are even greater where there is no intact till to preserve the trains to follow back, such as the Drybones area. Your comment re following the fissure both ways to find the pipe is valid and common sense that many of us have figured out and I think the WSP crew has too, however it does not preclude the existence of a blind pipe as the source of the diatreme either, so both must be investigated. Property acquisitions give some credence to the former being the priority. However delineation of the dip extension is juicy as well. So what's your evidence that the Ranch at Yamba was salted? I know what I heard and read, and salting was never suggested, maybe I was in a different valley. Just curious is all, I'll raise it at the coffee shop and see what spouts up (again). I know a few people that can speak to the security of the Kennicott plant in Yellowknife, but they probably won't post it here. Intriguing though. It makes me want to hear those comments.
