LTX Ships First Fusion HF System; Industry's First System-On-A-Chip Tester Delivered to

WESTWOOD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 27, 1998--LTX Corporation
(NASDAQ:LTXX), a leading supplier of semiconductor test equipment,
today announced that it has shipped its first Fusion(tm) HF
system-on-a-chip tester to National Semiconductor Corporation's San
Jose, California, production facility. Fusion, the semiconductor
industry's only system-on-a-chip tester, has been in development for
the past eighteen months.
"National is aggressively developing PC-on-a-chip and we counted
on LTX to deliver the industry's first system-on-a-chip tester as
