The minimum cash value to open this type of account is $2,000.00>>>>>>> one of my accounts with waterhouse is a joint account and I have long term options in that account (leaps) and nothing else.....and as of today... $98.00 in cash ...and this isnt the first time that I have done that with them and if I want to trade that $98.00 I can...and those long term leaps are not marginable.. and OPENING an account is not the same as maintaining an account and as far as him BUYING naked puts...I just find it hard to believe you would question his net worth as if he is SELLING naked options but i guess you think he is dead flat broke
