A definate sign of poor aapl sales ...

I was at CompuUSA today in Alexandrea, VA and could hardly
even find the Apple section. It was really sad, in the
summer it occupied approx 1/5 of the store in the corner,
now the whole dept. has been moved to one isle, with 3 machines !!

It was totally sad, wanted to short right then and there!! The
isles devoted to sw was approx 2 Apple, 20 PC. With Computer
City closing major stores in the D.C. and LA areas, this isn't
good for a *big* computer store like CompUSA to be shoving
Apple off in an unused corner (which was back stock in summer!).

I think I'll put a buy order at $16 on Monday !! They will
go way down before they go up. Now I believe MacWorld will
effect the stock just about as much as the NeXT acquision did,
that is, a speed bump. I read that Jobs and Amelio press
conference from Apple's web site. Jobs really wimped out
on some of the tougher questions from the press. All he
really said were things like "This will be an incredible time
for developers" ... Sure, who all have to learn Object C now.
The other good statement was "Things look promising"... Sure.

All I have to say is, I *hope* that Apple/NeXT starts competing
with the new wave of web products rolling out FY1 97. Microsoft
will be releasing it's Active Desktop, incorporating the PointCast
acquision. This really is a time for Apple to make a dent.

Any comments on Apple web future, besides its basic compliance
last year ???

BTW, hope this was more readable !!
