I don't bother to convince the VP of IS. I speak to the President/CEO about revenue growth, increasing shareholder value, increasing market share, increasing internal productivity, increasing customer retention etc... Your focus is still on the Back Office, this is Front Office, 2 totally different animals. your arguments are the position of an IT manager not a revenue person, they are just not valid! If you think like an IT person and not like a Revenue person you simply cannot understand my logic and the logic of the people whose responsibility it is to increase revenue and the bottom line. The decision to purchase Siebel is not an IT decision.

BTW, TTF SIEBEL IS ALREADY Y2K COMPLIANT, another invalid argument
