One of my favorite sites for market news quickly is: cbs.marketwatch.com You can also subscribe to some online mail notification services but I have found most of the free ones pretty slow. One good place to keep up with news on a portfolio of stocks is to set up a my-yahoo page. You can list a porfolio and it will star (*) the stocks that have news. Fairly dependable.
