France Alstom To Build 16 Power Substations For Mexico CFE

MEXICO CITY (Dow Jones)--Anglo-French engineering company Alstom SA (ALS) will build 16 power substations in Mexico for the country's state-owned electrical utility Federal Electricity Commission, or CFE.

In a press release Wednesday, the CFE said the cost of the construction project will be $62 million.

The power substations will be located in the states of Jalisco, Colima, Michoacan and Aguascalientes, the press release said.

About $25 million of the total investment will be assigned to substations located in northern Aguascalientes state.

Construction and testing is expected to be completed in 11 months, the CFE said.
