I think we need to use something to differentiate human consciousness from turkey consciousness. I propose we use "cooking" as our device. Animals who cook their food can have free will, and those that don't, can't. Ummm....you do cook your food, don't you, Maurice? I may have stumbled onto something here, you and CGB aren't just grazing on seeds and nuts and sprouts, are you? Maybe you DON'T have free will anymore! You need a hot sizzling steak to make it all clear!!

And I have no idea why you think Goedel supports Determinism. I'd think his theorem would be neutral at best, and possibly hostile to determinism. It means that there are always necessary definitions that come from outside of a system, so that something like math and logic have to appeal to some transcending "truth", and aren't complete systems in and of themselves.
