<<Know a person on SI that lost ALOT of money on Dell..because this person thought buying calls was going to make him/her money because dell could only head up with only temporary blips, right??? Well you might make money on the stock that way..but it ain't true on options...>>>>
I have an assortment of Dell options, bought various times over past year thru last week.
Nov 45,52 1/2,70's
Jan 27 1/2,35's
Feb 75's
May 60's
2001 50,60,65,75,80's
2000 17 1/2, 35,55,60's
Of these strikes all are up except one-fifth of the Nov 70's,1 of the Feb 75's, and I am no kind of a hot-shot options player.
Some are 3X,4x,5x,6x ($7 =$47)
You are absolutely correct on the risk of short term plays and trading options. Long term in Dell its pure gravy.Try it sometime.
